2.10.2024 – AForGeN meeting 2025 ¶
The next AForGeN meeting will be held 18-20 June 2025 in Safiental, Switzerland. Detailed information and registration will follow early 2025.
23.6.2023 - AForGeN business meeting – changes in the steering committee ¶
- Maria Höhn and Berthold Heinze have retired from the steering committee
- Marjana Westergren and Christian Rellstab remain in the steering committee
- Katharina Budde, Niels Müller, and Zoltan Köbölkuti were elected as new members of the steering committee
- Christian Rellstab was assigned as new IUFRO coordinator
17.2.2023 - AForGeN meeting 2023 in Zirbenland in Steiermark (Austria) ¶
The 9th AForGeN meeting will finally be held in June 2023 in Zirbenland in Steiermark (Austria). Berthold Heinze and his team will be the host. Details can be found here.
The meeting will take place in the heart of Styria province and will comprise the usual mix of presentations by established and early-career researchers (students welcome), a day-hike to discuss research questions in the forests, and a planning and discussion session for taking the network further. No membership is required to attend, the network is open and inclusive. Please pass on the circular to people who may be interested.

Members of AForGeN published the mito-genome of Abies alba and revealed its highlxy complex and dynamic structure. You can find it here.

Due to the situation with the Corona virus, the AForGeN meeting 2020 is cancelled. It will be held in June 2021, at the same place. See you there!
